Except for the B.E/B.Tech, B.F.A, B.P.Ed, B.Lib.I.Sc, B.Pharma, M.B.A, M.C.A, M.F.A, M.Sc, M.Com, and M.Lib.I.Sc courses, admission to all programmes will be based on merit. Charan Singh was born on December 23, 1902, in the village of Noorpur, District Hapur (formerly District Meerut), Uttar Pradesh, to a rural peasant Jat family and Teotia clan[2] (Erstwhile United Provinces of Agra and Oudh). [3] Charan Singh started politics as a member of Mohandas Gandhi’s Independence Movement. From 1931, he was a member of the Ghaziabad District Arya Samaj and the Meerut District Indian National Congress, for which he was imprisoned twice by the British. Prior to independence, he served in the United Provinces Legislative Assembly, which he was elected to in 1937.

Santosh Kumar Gangwar (born November 1, 1948) is an Indian politician and former Minister of State with Independent Charge in the Government of India’s Ministry of Labour and Employment.He is a member of Parliament (16th Lok Sabha), a former minister of state in the Indian government, and a BJP leader (BJP). Since 1989, he has served as a Member of Parliament for the city of Bareilly (with the exception of 2009–2014). In the 14th Lok Sabha, he was also the party’s chief whip. In the 15th Lok Sabha Elections of 2009, he lost by a razor-thin margin. In 2009, Gangwar served as head of the PAC Public Accounts Committee (India).
