DBRAU Agra accepts students for diploma, undergraduate, postgraduate, postgraduate diploma, Ph.D., and D.Litt. programmes. Except for the B.E/B.Tech, B.F.A, B.P.Ed, B.Lib.I.Sc, B.Pharma, M.B.A, M.C.A, M.F.A, M.Sc, M.Com, and M.Lib.I.Sc courses, admission to all programmes will be based on merit. Charan Singh was born on December 23, 1902, in the village of Noorpur, District Hapur (formerly District Meerut), Uttar Pradesh, to a rural peasant Jat family and Teotia clan[2] (Erstwhile United Provinces of Agra and Oudh). [3] Charan Singh started politics as a member of Mohandas Gandhi’s Independence Movement. From 1931, he was a member of the Ghaziabad District Arya Samaj and the Meerut District Indian National Congress, for which he was imprisoned twice by the British. Prior to independence, he served in the United Provinces Legislative Assembly, which he was elected to in 1937.

Since 1989, he has served as a Member of Parliament for the city of Bareilly (with the exception of 2009–2014). In the 14th Lok Sabha, he was also the party’s chief whip.
